Michael Luskin, Richard Stern and Nathan Eisler founded Luskin, Stern & Eisler LLP in 1989 with a commitment to providing financial institutions with a high quality alternative to large firm representation in restructurings, bankruptcy matters, creditors' rights litigation and financing transactions. At its inception, the firm represented a few dom... estic and foreign banks, trade creditors and investors. Over the years, the firm has extended its client base to include some of the world's largest financial institutions, hedge funds, and investors in distressed assets. Its members have also served as bankruptcy examiners, and the firm has represented bankruptcy trustees and official and unofficial committees of creditors. This recognition continued through October 2008 when the firm's lawyers joined Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP.
