Lunovus was founded in 2004 by Dr. John O. Mason III, an Ophthalmology Retina specialist at the UAB Callahan Eye Foundation Hospital in Birmingham Alabama. Dr. Mason discovered his grandmother was suffering from Macular Degeneration. To find a solution to help her,he completed extensive research and created the premier Macular Degeneration supplement formula, before the now-famous "AREDS" study results actually came out. He started his company, then known as Macular Health, to help people just like his grandmother. Over time, Macular Health eventually transitioned into becoming Lunovus LLC. Lunovus LLC has recently reorganized and remains committed to our tradition of providing quality and affordable eye care products as well as initiating an innovative patient portal delivery system for doctors and patients.
