Established in 2011. Located at the entrance to the Community Foundation Garden, LuLu's Comfort Food & Cupcakes makes your day by offering grilled sandwiches, wraps, homemade soups and pasta bowls. Pot roast, smoked ham, roasted chicken & Mom's meatloaf are the cornerstones of each meal. Breakfast burritos, sandwiches and bowls start at 7:30a and a... re available all day. Our daily special is usually a casserole of some sort or whatever LuLu is in the mood to make. Don't forget our bake goods: fruit biscuits, cookies, brownies and cupcakes all made with our original recipes and of course, from scratch! We are currently featuring Poplato, homemade ice cream/gelato on a stick. We have a few veggie meals too. Stop by when you are looking for real, homemade, not a frachise meal or treat. Terrie Urtel opened Serendipities Cupcakes at 27th & Superior on October 17, 2011. The menu included 21 original-made-from-scratch cupcake flavors. A wholesale business was started in 2012 to provide fresh baked cupcakes, fruit biscuits and treats to local businesses on a daily basis. Terrie met Karen Lamb, owner of Lamb Shop's Catering, they decided to join their businesses and move the operation to 48th & Cornhusker to open LuLu's Lunchery featuring Serendipities Cupcakes. This full service restaurant was not as profitable as the wholesale, catering and Little LuLu's in the Wells Fargo Building, so the decision was made in 2016 to move to former commercial kitchen in the same building to install a walk in cooler and freezer to keep up with catering orders. Little LuLu's, in the Wells Fargo Center, was a very small breakfast and lunch option that taught us a lot about serving food downtown, so when LCF offered the Original Korn Popper location, we said YES!Read More
