The beauty of Lucky Moon Farm and... the flavor of its produce are tangible expressions of the scope of the Brauns commitment and dedication in their farming practices. Lucky Moons owners have attempted to mitigate the hazards of climate change through crop covering, grass strips to prevent rain washouts, and more. This land that we farm is ours for awhilewe feel that we are stewards given a precious piece of ground to work and care for. It is our hope that we can leave it a little better than we found it. We have been rebuilding our soil using cover crops, compost, minerals, rock powders and certified organic fertilizers with the knowledge that the best tasting vegetables are grown on healthy soils. Although we are not certified organic, we have used organic practices at Lucky Moon Farm from the beginning and we annually sign the NOFA Farmer's Pledge .
