At the end of a journey sailors would reach into the Lucky Bag and retrieve "treasures" believed to have been lost at sea by other sailors. The U.S. Navy has continued this tradition throughout modern history; in fact, "Lucky Bag" is the official name of the annual yearbook of the United States Naval Academy. Lucky Bags are also a wish for good luc... k in life within Asian cultures. It is believed that the gifts enclosed are complete surprises to those fortunate enough to select from the bag. The mysterious gifts within the Lucky Bag transcend the tangible and are mostly comprised of life altering experiences and opportunities. Our film company is our very own Lucky Bag, filled with gifts of exploration, humor, entertainment, reflection, diverse perspectives, laughter and experiences not to be missed. We are currently in development of several feature scripts to go into production but we are also proud of the successes of the Lady Filmmakers Film Festival in Beverly Hills, CA established in 2009. We are proud to have screened feature and short length narrative and documentary films from all over the world that have at least one woman in a key leadership role in the making of the film!
