Lucien Wright Insurance Agency was founded by the late Lucien Wright in 1937 as an independent agency specializing in automobile and homeowners insurance. Wright was always looking for new avenues to better serve the community so it was a natural progression when he later began selling commercial insurance. The agency adopted the slogan "It's a Ple... asure, We Insure You. The phrase perfectly portrayed the agency's genuine enjoyment in serving its clients. In the late 1950's, Wright was joined by his nephew, Carroll W. Collins, who subsequently purchased the firm in 1972. It was under the leadership of Mr. Collins that the agency grew to 22 employees. The agency was quick to partner with several of the country's leading insurance carriers for personal and commercial lines insurance. In January of 2004, Lucien Wright Insurance was purchased by two executives of the firm, Bill Merritt and Scott Finks. Bill Merritt joined the agency in 1981 as an insurance producer and went on to earn the distinguished Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation that same year. Merritt's management skills played a key part in the development of the agency. Scott Finks joined the agency in 1991. Fink's expertise in the construction and manufacturing business sectors further expanded the firm's already broad range of services. To this day, Lucien Wright Insurance Services continues to serve the Fort Worth-Dallas Texas Community.
