Lucefin

A new service centre strategically located in central Italy is established: Siderconero. Lucefin takes over KSM STAHL, a service centre located in Baden Württemberg, Germany. The Group enters the stainless steel business through the acquisition of a producer located in San Colombano al Lambro, Milan, later renamed Trafitec. Matter, an Italian compa... ny specialized in the design and manufacture of automatic warehouses, joins the Group. An agreement with Express Italia is made to manage the logistics platforms of Desio and San Stino di Livenza. The establishment of Trafil Czech in Kladno, Czech Republic, marks the beginning of the Groups internationalisation. The logistics division continues its development through the joint-venture between Lucefin and the Federal Austrian Railways (OEBB) and the implementation of the second logistics pole in San Stino di Livenza, MVO (Magazzini Veneto Orientale). All of the Groups service centres are equipped with automatic warehouses: a strategic as well as an innovative choice. Installation of the first chain-track drawing machine: an investment on technological innovation. The first automatic warehouse is installed: it is a new concept of storage. A brand new production plant is established to complete the Groups range: Tre Valli Acciai in Berzo Inferiore, Brescia. Two brand new service centres are established: Cosmo Acciai in Modena and Sidermarca in Treviso; the geographic expansion continues. The logistics division is established: an integrated logistics platform in Desio MDB (Magazzini Desio Brianza). Tra.me.t. starts its activity in Turin: the product range is extended.
