LTFCA College

The LTFCA was formed in 1985 to provide a number of services to the Track and Field coaching community. The educational needs of the coaches are addressed each year at the annual LTFCA Coaches Clinic. This clinic is held each winter and features some of the top college, high school and club coaches from throughout the country. The association also... serves as a liaison to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, bringing the concerns of the track and field coaches to the state. Throughout it's existence, the LTFCA has successfully lobbied the LHSAA for rule changes and the addition of events such as the Girls Javelin and Pole Vault and the 300 meter Hurdles for both Boys and Girls. The LTFCA recognizes outstanding athletic and by naming a Cross Country All State Team in the Fall and an Outdoor Track & Field All State Track and Field Team. The Executive Committee is made up of an elected Executive Board and an appointed Board of Directors. The President serves a two year term and ascends from the post of First and Second Vice President. All members of the LTFCA are eligible to be elected to a post on the Executive Board.Read More
