Love in Clay

Welcome! At Love in Clay, I create long-lasting keepsakes with children's hand and foot prints in organic, non-toxic clay. Created in my home, these impressions are hand-sculpted and designed to fit your personal taste. They are carefully crafted to capture a special part of your child's youth. Our children are only small for such a short time and... I hope that you will treasure their little hand and footprint keepsakes as much as I will treasure the opportunity to create them for you. Each appointment lasts approximately 20 minutes. We will meet at my home studio in Tyler, where I will show you examples and go over the many different shapes, designs and colors that you can choose from. Your child will press their hands and/or feet into non-toxic clay and I will design, decorate and paint your keepsake after your appointment is complete. The entire process takes about 4-6 weeks due to the intricate details that are put into your keepsake and the drying time needed for ceramic pieces. As a former kindergarten teacher, I absolutely love working with children and feel honored to capture such a special moment in your child's life. Having two children of my own (who are growing up way too fast) I have learned how important it is to hang on to every ounce of their "littleness." My business name, 'Love in Clay,' was created with my two little ones in mind, especially my own little "Clay," who I named before I ever even dreamed of beginning this wonderful business.
