Longleaf Holdings, USA is a holding company for businesses, partnerships and investments owned by Nick Wildrick and John Bauknight. The company was named to the Inc. 500 list of Americas fastest growing privately held companies in 2003 and again in 2005. Before the company was sold in the summer of 2006 it had grown to be one the leading companies in the document destruction industry both as an innovator and pioneer. The two only sold the document destruction half of Shred First, the remaining piece is now called Total Product Destruction. This company focuses on the destruction of e-scrap, recalled and returned products as well as the buying and selling of recyclable plastic scrap. Other companies under the Longleaf umbrella include Total Training Services which provides training to business owners, sales professionals and entire teams. Total Storage Services rents 53 and 48 ft storage trailers to clients who have a need for extra space. Long Leaf Development is the newest venture that specializes in the sales and leasing of commercial real-estate. The name Long leaf comes form the Longleaf pine tree which is the legendary southern yellow pine of forest history. While the tall, stately longleaf pine once covered 30 to 60 million acres of the southeastern United States Coastal Plain, 200 years of logging and land clearing have greatly reduced its range.
