About London Rockin' Rollers
We also have a full Referee crew and run an occasional Ref School too! We are full members of WFTDA and UKRDA. As one of the oldest leagues in Europe, the London Rockin' Rollers are true pioneers of the sport, playing the UK's first Interleague scrimmage with the Birmingham Blitz Dames and Europe's first Interleague bout against Stuttgart Valley Roller Girlz. Three Rockin' Rollers and one Referee played and officiated at the first ever Roller Derby World Cup in 2011. Since then there has been many a Rockin' Roller skater who participated for their national teams at the Roller Derby World Cups in 2014 and more recently in 2018. For anyone watching the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony you could spot 13 Rockin' Rollers dressed as roller skating NHS nurses (and one dementor) and we have featured in many media articles, documentaries, photo shoots, music videos, live events and more!
