Our team, the FOP Lodge 911 Bears in Blue, consisted of 8 volunteer Bosco, Rich Altamirano and Erin Maher. Collectively Lodge 911 raised over of 49 competing teams in terms of money raised! Orphan Fund and attended the Blessing of the Cars in Uniondale, NY. During the Summer Lodge 911 was represented at two events. The first event on June 12, 2016 was the Centurion Cruisers and Police Surgeons Benevolent Association at St. Anthonys High School in Huntington honoring fallen NYPD Police Officers Brian Moore and Randolph Holder, both killed in the Line of Duty during 2015. All of the proceeds went directly to their families. The second summer event on July 17, 2016 was the Centurion Cruisers Car Club and David Lerner Charity Car Show held in Syosset, NY to benefit children with Autism. night while 3 comedians added many laughs. Attendees enjoyed renewing their friendship with old friends and the opportunity to make new ones. This was a FREE event for all of our members and many of their relatives and friends.
