About Local 561
Welcome to Laborers' Local 561. Local 561 represents over 1400 members who work in the construction industry in Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky. We are an affiliate of LIUNA. Meetings are normally held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm at the union hall. We are now accepting applications! Please bring a copy of your driver's license, social security card, birth certificate and high school diploma or GED. If you were in the service, we will also need a copy of your DD-214. If you have certifications for anything, MAKE SURE that you have them on you or where you can get to them when you go to a job site. When a contractor requires that you have a certain skill, they typically require proof of that skill when you show up at the job. It is your responsility to make sure you have everything you need when you show up for work. Make sure you have a current drug card and ARSC Card and/or OSHA card.
