Greetings from all of us at Local Union 1846 of the Central South Carpenters Regional Council! We are an organization that represents hundreds of skilled, productive, safety-conscious carpenters and pile drivers who work on the largest, most challenging, and high-profile projects in southern Louisiana and vicinity. We represent one trade with many... crafts. Our members touch every aspect of a construction project; theyre frequently first on the job and the last to leave. You will find Local 1846 carpenters on commercial, residential, and institutional job sites, providing the skills and experiences that only union training can supply. We are a strong, versatile, professional manpower and community resource expertly equipped to be vital, contributing carpenters, neighbors, family members, friends, and citizens. It is our mission to provide our contractor partners with highly skilled, safe, and productive carpenters so that they will, in turn, remain competitive and successful local businesses. We are also committed to preserving the areas standards regarding carpenter wages, health care, retirement benefits, and a safe work environment. Enhanced by a diverse membership, we strive to promote professionalism in the industry to the betterment of the general community.
