Born from a passion for lobsters, gardening and of course shooting fantastic films, commercials and stills, Lobster Tree was established in Cape Town in 2009. Although our tree is new, it is flourishing and unusual. We could bore you with endless details regarding the exceptional location and climate that allow our tree to grow but frankly they are... self-evident, more pertinent and interesting is for us to tell you about the unusual lobsters at home in its' branches and why it is you would want to be part of a unique Lobster Tree Production. Eric Vidart Loeb, Pascale Dhont and Marisa Bracher are the original creatures who live on the tree! Our individual touch and very distinctive temperaments combine both international and local experience, creativity, ingenuity and integrity in a multilingual mix of European flair allowing us to complement one another and respond to each client's brief. As a team we have worked together for the last five years tweaking and pruning our skills and doing the necessary to make Lobster Tree a reality. Lobster Tree is the shared vision of Pascale Dhont and Eric Vidart Loeb, who have more than twenty years of life lived and films made in the global film industry. Prior to moving to South Africa, Pascale worked for an Italian Production Company for few years, before branching out as a Freelance Producer. Pascale has worked at one time or another for most of the biggest Italian productions companies and also as the producer for the award winning Film Director Hugh Hudson, producing commercials around the world. Eric spent the lobster share of his professional life within the French Feature Film industry, working on some of the most iconic films of our time (for example, The Big Blue , Tchao Pantin, Gazon Maudit, Tango Lesson, St Cyr ), but he has also worked extensively in production of French Commercials.
