Llannon School is a county Primary School that caters for children from 4-11 years of age. The primary aim when a child starts at this school is that he/she is happy as we believe that it is in a happy and homely environment that a child will perform best at this age. The staff have been trained to teach primary aged children, are very experienced... in primary education, attend relevant training courses regularly and provide a broad and balanced curriculum. The school aims to ensure the social development of your child by encouraging him/her to build healthy relationships with other children and adults in the school. At the same time, he/she will be encouraged to be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others. We will encourage your child to work to the best of his/her ability and support him/her in the development of individual talents. We will endeavour to ensure that each child works at a level and rate that will enable him/her to reach his/her full potential. If a child requires additional support, arrangements will be made after consultation and with the support of the parent(s). Each child will be encouraged to feel proud in their achievements and to develop a high level of self-esteem. As parents, you will be aware of the important role that you have in your child's development and will be given regular opportunities to discuss your child's progress with staff as well as suggestions on how you can support your child's development.
