The combination of craftsman style architecture and modern amenities create an ideal experience. Sleep peacefully in organic bedding, enjoy a stroll or meditation in the garden and drink fresh water from the whole-house water filtration system. We use non-toxic biodegradable and non-allergenic cleaning products for the whole building. The Living Li... ght Inn is also a plant-based food kitchen. It is our house policy that no animal products are to be used in our kitchen. You will frequently see students from our plant-based Living Light Culinary Institute practicing recipes in the kitchen and working on culinary homework assignments. The Inn was built from old growth Redwood in 1912 as a private residence by two brothers from an illustrious local family. From the outset, it was recognized as an architectural jewel. There are 10 guest rooms of all shapes and sizes ranging from a scenic room for two overlooking the garden to a family style room that comfortably fits six. The residence was converted to a hotel in the 1940s and purchased by the current owners in 2015. In its lifetime, it has hosted many distinguished guests including a former American President, diplomats, artists, writers, musicians, and a number of world-famous athletes.
