On March 31, 2020, Oracle announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire LiveData Utilities. The acquisition extends Oracle Utilities' Network Management System by adding a long-standing partner that provides leading operational technology (OT) middleware solutions and SCADA capabilities to monitor and control utility equipment while re... ducing the complexity of real-time systems. The transaction is now closed and the LiveData Utilities team will join the Oracle Utilities organization. Oracles recent agreement to acquire LiveData Utilities has led to Live Energy Connect (LEC), an operational technology (OT)-centric middleware platform that simplifies integration and scalability. LEC helps you make the most out of field devices, SCADA, and the latest smart-grid technology, too. Supporting all major protocols, including ICCP, OPC, and DNP3, it offers your utility enterprise-wide monitoring options and system control.
