We are very sorry to announce that Little Type Mail Order is closing, effective immediately. As many of you know, our founder, Erika Hynes, passed away last April. We have tried our best to keep Little Type operating since that time, but it has become apparent that without her direction and inspiration, it's just not possible to maintain the level... of service and quality that would do justice to Erika's memory. What does this mean for you, our valued customers and suppliers? In the first place, Little Type is no longer accepting new orders. If you have already made an order, it will be filled, provided the item is in stock. If the item is no longer available, your money will be refunded. If you have placed items for sale with Little Type, we will soon begin the process of returning any unsold items to you and paying any remaining balance that it is due to you. We ask for your patience; Erika's illness made it impossible for her to do her normally impeccable job of record-keeping, and as a result, we have a lot of confusing information to sort through. Therefore, it would be helpful if you'd send us a letter or email stating exactly what you sent us, what the cost was, and how much, if anything, you've been paid. In most cases we already have the information on file, but we don't want to miss anybody. If you're not completely sure exactly what you sent or what you're owed, don't worry; chances are we can figure it out or at least work out a reasonable compromise. Most importantly, we'd like to thank all of you for your support of Little Type over the years. It's been a lot of fun, and we'd like to think we've played some small part in keeping the spirit of underground music and writing alive. We wish that it didn't have to end this way, but as we've all learned this past year, sometimes, despite our most heartfelt wishes and intentions, life has other plans in mind.Read More
