LiteZupp Europe has just been created, however LiteZupp Industries, LLC was started in mid 2009. The first products were brake lights that were sold to friends and club members to improve the visibility of our antique cars in the USA. There were other LED lights on the market, but LiteZupp wanted to offer a product that was very easy to install and... worked better that the incandescent bulb it replaced. We have since sold our lamps to antique car enthusiasts across the US and in a number of other countries. Our next offering was turn signal lamps and we encountered a new problem. Old style flashers depend on the current passing through a bimetallic strip which the current heats and the heat causes it to curl. LED lamps are much more efficient and the current is too low to properly heat the strip. There are a number of electronic flashers offered which overcome this problem. Why LED's? LED lamps offer several advantages over incandescent lamps. They are: There are also a few drawbacks: Old style turn signal flashers do not work properly with LED lamps and must be replaced by an electronic flasher. Corrosion in older wiring harnesses creates some problems. The design goal of the LiteZupp product was to produce the best product at a reasonable price. The LED's chosen are capable of producing much more light, but that would require more heat sink than we had room for. As a result LiteZupp LED's are operating at a very conservative current level. The housings are machined from Aluminum Bar, which is more expensive than cast pot metal but the machined part yields a better product. Our product functions better and are better looking.
