About Lips
LIPSinc was founded in February 1998 by a team of graduate students and advisors in the Technology, Education and Commercialization Program at North Carolina State University. The group saw commercial potential in a lip synchronization technology developed by researchers at the university and struck a deal to license it. The company has an experienced team of graphics and interface-design programmers, 3D modelers, animators, designers, as well as a seasoned operational, sales and marketing staff. This team has designed, launched and sold a wide array of tools and products including a consumer application - HeadFone and also created two revolutionary software development kits - LiveTalk and TalkBack.
