Linking London

We offer an extensive programme of staff development opportunities, with over twenty free events a year, and an annual conference. They include practitioner groups in the important areas of information, advice and guidance (IAG), Higher Education in Further Education (HE in FE) and vocational qualifications. We publish a range of resources for our... partners, supported by an IAG Moodle site, and three newsletters each month. Our website is kept up to date and advertises both events and our partners' work. Our data base of over one thousand contacts allows us to keep people informed about developments and opportunities. We advise on the changing educational landscape, across all learning, with particular expertise in vocational and professional qualifications. The time for partnership and collaborative working continues to be critical. The continuing change and uncertainty in the world of education have meant that addressing issues from the perspective of a large and diverse partnership on the basis of experience and expertise, whilst being cost effective, is essential. Through membership of Linking London partners can stay up to date with developments, share solutions and evidence their own contribution to the collaborative targets of the education sector as a whole. Linking London provides an independent and objective voice for our partners, whilst acting as their collective representative. In the last year we have worked with our partners to establish a solid and sustainable base for Linking London, both in terms of the growth of the network and its future financial stability. We have an approved business plan for the year ahead, and are working with our partners to refine a strategic plan for the next five years. Our core business remains the pursuit of improvements in student achievement, social mobility and social justice.
