LINK Community Transport

LINK Community Transport Inc (LINK) has operated as a not for profit organisation since 1979 providing community transport for older people, people with a disability and their carers (including those with diversity background). LINK started its operations across communities in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, including the local government areas... of Banyule, Darebin, Hume, Moreland, Nillumbik, Whittlesea and Yarra. Originally established as the North Eastern Metropolitan Council Of the Ageing - NEMCOA- the organisation was established to respond to the many issues that affected older people with transport issues quickly becoming a primary focus. Since 1991 LINK has been delivering door to door community transport and specialist community transport sector related training and advocacy. Since that time LINK has become a leader in the development and delivery of best practice and continuous improvement in community transport and the delivery of training to other HACC providers in the North, West and Southern HACC regions. Our mission is to provide leadership in meeting the needs of people who experience transport disadvantage by delivering community transport services that connect people with their community and meet their personal needs.
