Ling Chan grew up in Hong Kong and immigrated to New York City at the age of 21. There she began her career in the beauty industry and soon realized that in order to provide for her family while achieving the American dream, she decided to pursue her passion in esthetics. Ling found there were no products on the market that delivered what they promised, she went on to develop her own collection of skincare in 1985 and became an avant-garde in formulating products without known irritants such as mineral oils, lanolin and artificial fragrances. In conjunction with her new skincare collection, she developed her signature facial treatments based on Asian beauty principles of proper exfoliation and hydration to balance the skin while preventing and treating skin ailments before they arise.
