Dr. Valentina Libra was raised in Venezuela, and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (Caracas, Venezuela). In 2003, she moved to the United States, and received her Specialist in School Psychology degree from Barry University. She completed her internship at Miami-Dade County Public Schools. After working several years in private practice, Dr. Libra completed her Ph.D. in Education and Leadership at Barry University. As part of her doctoral work, Dr. Libra earned a specialty minor in Special Education. Throughout her training and career, Dr. Libras work has focused on comprehensive cognitive, educational and psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults. She is certified by the State of Florida to teach students with autism spectrum disorders. Her areas of expertise include psychodiagnostic testing for learning and behavior disorders, as well as neurodevelopmental disorders, such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Libra also has expertise in the area of cognitive training and offers this service to children with various attention, memory, and learning problems. Mrs. Eileen Vento has been an educator for over twenty years. She received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Florida International University. Her career began in Miami Dade County Public Schools. After working with children in a traditional setting for over seven years, it was clear that education involved more than teaching. Mrs. Vento then sought a Masters Degree in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She felt that the school systems were not addressing the psychological factors and emotional roadblocks affecting learning.
