Life Help

Life Help is a public, nonprofit agency licensed and partially funded by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. The company provides mental health services to individuals in Leflore, Carroll, Attala, Holmes, Humphreys, Sunflower, Montgomery, Grenada, Washington, Bolivar, Sharkey, and Issaquena counties. Life Help is one of fourteen community... mental health centers created as a result of the Regional Commission Act of 1972. Life Help is governed by a Board of Commissioners. The Board of Supervisors in each of the company's 12 counties appoints a commissioner to serve on the company's Board for a four-year term. Offices are located in each of the company's twelve counties, with the company's central office situated in Greenwood. Fees are based on a sliding fee scale, according to income and number of dependents. Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance are accepted. No one is refused for his or her inability to pay. All visits, applications, and telephone calls are completely confidential. No information is ever released to anyone, even another family member, without the individual's permission.Read More
