Liberal Party Ontario’s Liberal Party has elected Kathryn McGarry as its new president during the party’s annual general meeting in Hamilton. McGarry, who previously served as the minister of natural resources and transportation under former premier Kathleen Wynne, lost her seat in the Cambridge riding in 2018. She then served a single term as the mayor of Cambridge before losing her re-election bid in October 2022.
