Levant Desalination Association

The Levant Desalination Association is headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon and was formally established in early 2009. The organization currently has close to 250 members, who have been active in the region for a number of years. LDA is committed to the development and promotion of desalination technology in water supply, water re-use, water pollution... control, water purification and water treatment in the Levant area including Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. The Association intends to achieve its Mission through the organization of conferences and workshops with the aim to educate and promote the correct use of desalination and water re-use, whilst promoting sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions. In addition, the Levant Desalination Association aims to promote various types of desalination technologies to serve and benefit the local population thus providing an economic environment of growth and is committed to address the need for education and awareness due to lack of awareness on the different water issues faced in the Levant area .
