Letter K Media is a film production and consulting company that seeks to join the business of film with the independent art of filmmaking. Letter K Media's mandate is to make the film industry easier to navigate. Letter K Media offers a broad range of services catering to independent and established filmmakers, film festivals, film industry organiz... ations and media arts centres. Letter K Media provides grant writing, arts management, film programming, film producing, lecturing and moderating workshops and panels, writing, story consulting and rough-cut consultation and film festival distribution and exhibition strategy. Letter K Media caters to all its clients by providing each person and organization with a plan that suits their needs. The owner of Letter K Media, Kathleen Mullen has been working in the film industry for the past 18 years. Currently Ms. Mullen is on the international programming team at Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival. She has been a film programmer for film festivals and organizations nationally and internationally including the Toronto International Film Festival and the Provincetown International Film Festival. She holds an MA in Anthropology and an MFA in Film Production. For five years she was the Director of Programming at Inside Out LGBT Film Festival in Toronto and for three years, the Artistic Director for Planet in Focus Environmental Film Festival. She has worked for the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Vancouver International Film Festival and the San Francisco International Film Festival. For the past seven years Kathleen has been cultivating her own film practice.
