Lets face it. The reality is that running hurricane claims is not the same as it was 15 years ago. Or even 5 years ago. Now everything is related to productivity. How quickly you can inspect and turn in a quality file will determine how long you stay deployed. So the idea that you can go out on storm, without any work in several months, and jump right back in at full capacity is not reality. And the cost of being trained while on storm, or reacclimating yourself with all the processes again, can be very costly. More costly than being prepared before the storm with quality training and refresher courses. I am currently the Director of Training and Innovations at Legion Claims. I have been an Xactware Certified Trainer for many years. As I continue to learn and evolve my trainings to the newest technologies, I see adjusters who stay stagnant in their processes. But for those of you who understand that training is essential to success, those adjusters are continuing to excel in the industry.
