LearnPhilanthropy

LearnPhilanthropy is the field-wide hub for grantmaker learning, built by professionals working in the field. We believe that by strengthening grantmaker learning, we can help to increase the effectiveness and impact of philanthropy. And, we believe it should be easy for grantmakers of all kinds -- staff, donors, trustees, volunteers -- to find wha... t they need. LearnPhilanthropy seeks to be that central hub, a place for the community of learners and learning providers to find and share resources, ideas, and insights on good practice. LearnPhilanthropy began as a first-of-its-kind initiative in 2010, through the efforts of a group of committed professionals led by the Council on Foundations and the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers. Several hundred grantmakers, learning providers, and others who care about improving learning in philanthropy provided insight and development assistance to ensure the site had everything grantmakers need to enhance their learning. LearnPhilanthropy truly was, and will continue to be, built by the field, for the field. Today, LearnPhilanthropy is powered by the Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy. Our team works in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders, professionals, organizations, and experts to develop this premier professional learning hub. We believe grantmaking professionals know what they want out of their professional development, and LearnPhilanthropy facilitates that development and fosters continual, professional learning. Our LearnPhilanthropy Advisory Board and Content Partners are helping to guide the development of LearnPhianthropy as the go-to resource for grantmaker learning.
