Leaping Lamb Farm

Leaping Lamb Farm has had a long history in the Alsea area. The main house and several outbuildings were built by the Spencer family between 1896 and 1930 as part of their original homestead. Formerly known as Honey Grove Farm, it has been a working farm since the fields were first cleared, growing hay, raspberries and blueberries, garlic, apples,... pears, plums, grapes, and raising turkeys, cattle and sheep. We have continued the tradition of growing hay and corn for our animals and planting a garden and green house full of produce for ourselves, our friends, and family. We harvest and pick throughout the summer and fall. If you stay with us during that time, you may reap your own rewards in fresh fruits, jams and cider! In addition to the flora on our farm, our domestic fauna includes chickens (farm-fresh eggs for your breakfast), geese (retired), horses, a peacock (for color), and the requisite dogs and cats. We are in the business of selling our pasture-raised Heritage turkeys and grass-fed Katahdin lamb products directly to local customers, restaurants and natural food stores.
