LeafEducation is an organisation based in Hammersmith & Fulham, run completely by women, that aims to facilitate the development of young people and women through education and sports. Established in 2013, LeafEducation was brought into existence due to the strong need which exists in the community namely educational support for young people as wel... l as supporting parents to make informed choices in regards to their children's education, health, employment and safety. We run a range of services in the local community such as: Supplementary school specialising in English and Maths for Primary School children and lower Secondary School pupils (Yrs 7,8,9) ESOL classes for women funded by Hammersmith United Charities Skills courses such as Health and Social Care, Childcare, and one day courses such as food, hygiene and first aid - In partnership with Polino Awareness days on pertinent issues including the dangers of FGM, the importance of healthy eating, and other health issues such as blood pressure and diabetes - Funded by Fast Track Coffee Mornings for isolated women to come together and socialise Our services are easily accessible to the local people due to our location and the culturally and linguistically staff we employ.
