Established in 2013. We are a Sanford Meisner based acting school and theatre that integrates yoga into several of the acting classes. The adult program specializes in The Meisner Technique. The same technique that greats such as David Mamet, John Voight and Jeff Bridges studied. We offer classes for ages 3- 93 in On Camera Audition Technique for c... ommercials, film and TV as well as Scene Study, Cold Reading and Public Speaking. Private coaching is also available by appointment. Lea Marlene Actors Studio also has a production side, producing professional shows including theatre and stand up comedy through out the year in the 70 seat Namastage Theatre. The Founder and Artistic Director Lea Marlene earned her acting chops and business savvy working in television, films, theatre and commercials in Los Angeles for over a decade. She has an extensive background in The Meisner Technique, learning from two of the best Meisner certified teachers in the country. She received her yoga certification from The American Yoga School in Santa Monica and that is how the unique Actasana Technique was born!
