In 2014 LAFS was granted the license, by HERMES Airport LTD, to design, finance, construct and operate a new Aviation Fuel Depot (AFD) at the Larnaca International Airport. Within the agreed time frames, LAFS has succeeded in designing and constructing a state of the art AFD with impressive infrastructure, which complies with the most stringent int... ernational aviation standards. The AFD is now fully operational. LAFS provides the following services: Receipt of aviation fuel from licensed fuel marketeers; Commingled Storage of aviation fuel in tanks; Product quality control, which ensures that the delivered and stored fuel meets the requirements of international JET A-1 specifications; Delivery of the fuel to the into-planers' vehicles; Servicing and maintaining the equipment of the AFD to meet the IATA/ICAO/JIG requirements and the industry's international standards. LAFS has set the standard for high quality, cost efficient and customer orientated services to fuel marketeers and into-plane companies licensed by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) that comply with the international JIG standards.
