Lawrence E Fischer

Lawrence E. Fischer has practiced law in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 1976. He was raised in Fairfax, Virginia and graduated from Fork Union Military Academy before attending the University of Michigan for his undergraduate work. He has a bachelors of science degree in clinical psychology. Following graduation from college, Larry became the y... oungest U.S. Marshal in the United States and worked as a federal law enforcement officer for two years before going to law school. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1973. Formerly, he was legal counsel to the Governor of South Carolina and then became City Attorney for Columbia South Carolina in 1975. He relocated to Northern Virginia and was General Counsel to the United States Marshals Service from 1976 to 1984. He has been in private practice since 1984, with offices in Fairfax, Tyson's Corner and now Nokesvile, Virginia (southern Prince William County). In 1985 Larry co-founded First Fidelity Mortgage Corporation in Tyson's Corner, Virginia which later grew to having over 10 locations in 5 different states. In the mid 1990s Larry co-founded TermStar Insurance Company, an internet-based company offering life insurance products to consumers nationwide. He is the trustee of several irrevocable trusts and served as a trustee for the Joe Gibbs Youth for Tomorrow located in Bristow, Virginia for 10 years. Larry is a former member of the Society of Financial Professionals and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is an independent advisor representative of Ashton Royce & Company, a registered investment advisory firm, registered with the Virginia State Securities Commission. In 2006 and 2007, The Estate Plan, one of the nation's foremost estate planning institutes, named Larry as Outstanding Estate Planning Attorney of the year.
