The Laurel Community Foundation was established on September 22, 2002 under the umbrella of the Community Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. The company is a non-profit organization that strives to enhance the educational experiences of Laurel School District students. During the company's first years the company has granted in ex... cess of $40,000 to District teachers in order to do just this. Some of the programs that the company has sponsored are: Busted Laurel FFA Summer Workshops Choir Workshops Book Author Visits Accelerated Reader Math Facts in a Flash National Honors Science Olympiad Future Reader of Laurel Natural Science Society 4-H Embryology There are many ways in which you, too, can help to enhance the company's students' experiences within Laurel School District: - All donations to the LCF are tax-deductible and you will receive the appropriate paperwork with each donation. - You could also help the company by supplying the materials needed for any of the projects that the company sponsor. - The company is always looking for volunteers to help the company with the company's various activities and fundraisers throughout the year.
