We are a small family run accounting company spanning three generations to date. Being small means that we get to know you as an individual, not just a file or book on a shelf. We get to know you so we can assist with what you need as an individual client. Because you are special to us. Being small also means we can keep our rates lower than many o... ther places, so we pass the savings on to you. We work from our home to save the cost of commercial rental. You are welcome to come to us, however we provide the service of picking up your work at your place of business to save you the time. A + S Accounting specializes in public accounting for small business and personal, with a personal touch. We monitor the quantity of accounts assigned to each accountant to make sure they do not get overloaded. We want to make sure your work is the best it can be. We focus on a relaxed work environment, it helps us be more productive if we are comfortable. We even bring our pets to work with us, as we love animals. We have a long history in the accounting field; with more then 100 years combined experience. Ann Helmick - Is the President and founder of A + S Accounting, she has almost 35 years of experience in public accounting. Her education is of the non traditional type, learning first hand through family and early employers, who spent the time to teach all of the aspects of public accounting. Public accounting differs greatly from private accounting. It takes a completely different personality to accomplish. In her career she has worked for CPA's and EA's and continues to work with several CPA's today. Many CPA's do not want the bother of the 'small business' accounting. Their fees are too high for many small businesses, so we keep the fees low. In the firms she has worked at prior she has been sold with the companies as an asset to continue working with them.
