La Salle Academy is a Catholic college-preparatory high school located in New York City with a distinguished heritage spanning more than 174 years of educational service. The school operates as part of an international network of Lasallian institutions conducted by the Brothers of the Christian Schools, also known as the De La Salle Christian Brothers, an order established in the late seventeenth century by Saint John Baptist de La Salle with a foundational mission to provide human and Christian education to young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Serving a culturally diverse student body of approximately 245 young men whose families represent more than four dozen countries and homelands, La Salle Academy maintains its historical commitment to serving immigrant and underrepresented communities while fostering leadership development and a strong service-oriented ethos.
