About Las Olas
Established in 1981. Las Olas means 'the waves' in Spanish. What we want it to mean to you is great Mexican food served by friendly people. Since 1981, Las Olas not only pioneered the Fish Taco but has been serving healthy choices long before it became 'the thing to do'. Everything is made fresh daily in-house using wholesome ingredients, often organic, and purchased locally whenever possible. Staying committed to freshness, quality and value through the years has made Las Olas the popular landmark it is today. "Back in 1981, for the first few weeks we were open, Señora Mendoza, a long time family friend, helped establish many of the recipes we use today. She is a great cook and really helped us establish our essence", says Dave.
