Larkin Refractory Solutions was founded and incorporated as Larkin Furnace Construction Company in 1976 by John Larkin, on the principles of technical excellence, high quality workmanship, and unparalleled service to its customers. After John's death, the company was acquired by James W. Wunch, the present owner, who is continuing the founding prin... ciples and enhancing them through innovative solutions to refractory problems. Although Larkin is primarily focused in the southeastern United States, the company supplies refractory materials, performs refractory installations and solves refractory problems worldwide. Larkin's facility, located at 2331 Varkel Way in Lithonia, Georgia is equipped to produce precast refractory shapes and to line new furnaces, as well as repairing and relining used furnaces. Larkin maintains a modern fleet of trucks, installation and removal equipment, including hydraulic tear-out and haul-out machines to provide fast, effective service. Larkin serves all the refractory using industries, with special emphasis in the non-ferrous metals, minerals processing, and wood products industries. Larkin has refractory supply and construction agreements with several OEM's. Larkin has supplying agreements with several major refractory producers, and warehouses their insulating and dense refractory bricks, monolithic refractories, ceramic fiber based products, metallic and ceramic anchors. Larkin also stocks and supplies refractory construction equipment, such as mixers, vibrators, diamond saws and blades, pneumatic rammers and hammers for immediate delivery.
