Our Story: We've seen countless startups struggle adapting a successful web application to mobile. The tools are different. The rules are different. These companies struggle with the reality that, instead of pushing code to production dozens of times a day, they can release a new version of their app once a week. This was not the way it was supposed to work. When Steve Jobs first envisioned the iPhone, he thought that we would use web technologies to create apps for them. But, the web was too slow and we needed native performance to create high quality apps. But, a lot has changed in the decade since the iPhone was released. Most importantly, browser vendors have settled on web-assembly (wasm) as a standard byte-code for the web. This enables native like performance in the browser. So, we decided to throw out xcode and go back to creating apps with web technologies ... and we loved it. We went back to continuous integration and delivery. Our apps were released on our schedule. We took back the ability to respond to bugs in minutes instead of "some time next week."
