Lara Aged Care offers you an invitation to come and visit our facility at 64 Hospital Road, Dungog NSW, located in the foothills of the scenic Barrington Tops. We have been providing residential aged care since 1990 and offer 5 levels of quality residential care: 1) Ironwood self-contained independent living units 2) Respite care, so carers & clients recharge their batteries 3) Low level hostel care 4) High level nursing home care 5) Dementia specific care in a secure unit. We have the following on-site services: 24hr, 7 days a week Registered Nurse coverage Trained care staff A lifestyle co-ordinator with enthusiastic activity officers Physiotherapist Hairdresser Visiting podiatrist Diabetes educator Speech pathologist Chaplain Networks with both the local hospital as well as the regional Maitland Hospital and the larger referral hospitals - John Hunter and the Mater Networks with the Palliative Care Services Wonderful volunteers An 11 seater bus with wheel chair hoist for regular organised outings. At present our facility does not have a fire sprinkler system installed in accordance with the Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulation 2000. This regulation requires a fire sprinkler system to be installed in the facility by September 2014. Lara Aged Care intends to be fully compliant with this requirement.Read More
