What my clients have to say: Our renovation of a 1915 Craftsman, that basically had to be redone, is still (6 years later) the talk and the pride of our neighborhood downtown. His work is impeccable. His job sites are as clean as any I have ever seen, and he is always responsive. His "extra'" costs were never a surprise, and he always gave us optio... ns. When things happened that surprised us both, he actually shared the cost of the "over-runs" I have built one house and remodeled 3 others, and never have I seen this kind of fairness. His work is top notch. Brett is easy to work with, has creative ideas, and worked well with my architect/designer who was, in her own right, a little quirky. I strongly and un-hesitatingly recommend him. I cannot imagine ever doing any work in SB and not having Brett run the show. He's honest, hard working, a perfectionist, and a realist. You can't ask for anything better. We couldnt be happier with Bretts attention to detail, careful management of our budget constraints and the quality of construction. Brett stayed in contact with us every week to let us know how construction was progressing. It was not uncommon for him to call us to let us know ways we could alter the design slightly that would ultimately enhance the finished project. In fact, because of Bretts design acumen, I was able to have Bretts assistance in designing many aspects of our homes interior, obviating the need for an interior designer or kitchen designer. His management of our budget not only allowed us to finish our project on budget, but we actually ended up with a higher quality finished project than what was called out for on the architectural plans. At every step, Brett tried to find ways to reduce cost and then offered us a choice of a cost savings, or taking that extra money and using it for higher quality finishes.
