LAM Gallery

Opening in fall 2014 Lam Gallery has provided a breath of fresh air to the Los Angeles art scene with its lively exhibition program alternating established artists and emerging ones, California artists and international ones. The gallery is handling such elder statesmen as Kent Twitchell, one of California's leading muralists who has created mammot... h visual icons on buildings in downtown Los Angeles. A recent show at the gallery featured sculpture and drawing by Marvin "Minto" Fang, who divides his multi-disciplinary career between Beijing and Taipei. During that same period, the works of several young artists from Taiwan were also shown, all for the first time in Los Angeles. An art enthusiast, gallery founder Winnie Lam has come from a successful career in fashion and design, and stepped into the art scene by presenting the works of emerging artists through special receptions in her Hollywood home. Lam personally designed the Lam Gallery space to comfortably accommodate both group shows and solo shows. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Lam is keen to develop significant art connections between Los Angeles and Asia, by bringing awareness of Asian artists to Los Angeles, and vice versa.
