About Lakeside Books
Lakeside Books is owned by the Blaine family of Coloma, Michigan. A true grass roots effort, Lakeside Books was started as Ambis Enterprises in 2008, an online hobby in a small room out of the company's basement. The company quickly outgrew the company's own space, and opened the company's doors as a small new & used bookstore in May 2010, across from the LOMA Theater in downtown Coloma. Six months later, the company expanded the company's venture, by launching a second location inside The Orchards Mall, Benton Harbor. In the Spring of 2012, the company's internet growth persuaded the company to consolidate the company's efforts to residing only inside The Orchards Mall while expanding the company's online presence with an additional warehouse operation. With an explosion of E-Commerce growth, the company realigned once again in 2014, closing the company's Mall store, and going entirely online.
