We provide opportunities for Faith Formation for kindergarten level children through tenth grade. For the younger children, kindergarten through fifth grade, we offer learning at their age level taught by talented catechists who have all been certified through the diocesan Child Protection program. Beginning with students in sixth grade through ten... th grade, we offer Family Faith Formation. Students attend with an adult family member. Each season we offer comprehensive study on church teachings on such topics as The Creed, The Sacraments, The Ten Commandments and others. High school juniors have the option of enrolling in our Confirmation preparation process which also provides service opportunities for these teens as well as a day-long retreat. Service opportunities include serving at a homeless shelter, working for community benefits, staffing a St. Vincent de Paul store, as well as time for praise, worship, adoration and fellowship. Our parish missions are planned to appeal to the young families of our parish. Past mission presenters have included Doug Brummel, Mike Patin, ValLimar Jansen and others. For adults we offer sessions on various topics of special interest. Everyone is invited to these sessions and we welcome ideas and topics for future sessions. Faith Formation is a very important part of our mission here at Our Lady of Peace. We are open to change, new ideas, and different opportunities to bring Christ's message to life in our area.Read More
