L.A.C.E.S. partners with the community to provide holistic healing for the children we serve. Our communities have a voice in how their future leaders are developed through sports and are invited to be part of the process of mentoring them. The leadership of the community identifies the most vulnerable children they believe are in need of positive... role models to bring about transformation in their lives. The coaches must live in the communities where we operate because they know first hand the social issues their communities face and can be involved in a child's life outside of their time in L.A.C.E.S. This engagement has resulted in families fostering children who live on the street, schools providing scholarships to children in the program who cannot afford to attend and trust that creates a platform to address social issues such as Ebola, that the whole community faces.
