Krista Larson Designs was established in 1994 by Krista Larson. A native of Southern California, she now resides, works and manufactures in Southern New Hampshire. From an early age, Krista was attracted to a different way of dressing. After a year of studying business at the University of Hawaii, she decided to take her interest in clothing and fa... shion to another level. She studied abroad in London and graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Design, and a minor in Art. During her final year of college, Krista started selling hats on consignment at local boutiques. After graduating, she continued selling her hats while working at a local men's manufacturing facility. Her creativity flourished and hats soon turned to clothing, and consignment turned to sales. Soon Krista ventured to NYC to do a wholesale show. After her first show in NY, Krista's main concern was "how am I going to get this made? She had been the sole seamstress, cutter, pattern maker, shipper, and marketer up until now. Eighteen years later, Krista has eight employees and several local New England sewing and knitting contractors; proudly advertising the "Made in the USA" label. Her collection consists of separates, sweaters, and accessories all meant to layer, mix and match. Attention is taken to every detail from the hand sewn buttons and labels, to the random wave detail on her signature slips and skirts. Trims are unique and ever changing for each collection, and custom prints and jacquards are a brilliant addition to every season. Krista offers up to thirty five different fabrics in five to six colors in almost every style. This makes her pieces almost one-of-a-kind because of the immense selection.
