Kopin has been awarded a $15.4 million contract by the U.S. Army under the IBAS Program to develop and onshore a color micro-LED for the next-generation Soldier Borne Mission Command (SBMC) helmet system, with the U.S. Army designating Kopin's microdisplay specification as the required standard regardless of which prime contractor is selected.
